My name is Reyna.

Mi nombre es Reyna.

Proud MEXICAN-AMERICAN

I am a writer of plays, movies, books, essays, and television. I currently hold two Master’s degrees across various genres in Creative Writing. Training and education in theatre spans from Millersville University, Wilkes University, LAMDA, and more. My writing is rooted in cultural folklore, family, and multilingualism.

My work has been published and produced across the United States and internationally in both English and Spanish.

I am currently a member of the Dramatist Guild of America, an artistic associate for Teatro Paloma, co-hostess of Story Sisters podcast on Spotify, and have served as a reader for River And South literary magazine.

Apart from writing, I speak three languages, am a Mexican Folkloric Dancer, multi-instrumentalist, school teacher, and nail tech.

When I am not writing, talking, dancing, making music, or doing nails, you can usually find me working out, or hanging out with my dog, Lucy.

My work is not political…but I can’t write if I ICE kills me.

  • "Talk about an unexpected ending! Funny, engaging, and will have an audience laughing and talking long after the curtain falls. A great short piece. Well done!"
